Headteachers Spring Conference Success

Trustees, Headteachers, assistant headteachers and advisers of schools both part of ODBST, ODST and looking to join the trusts came together this week to attend the Spring Leadership conference run by the trust.

In the morning, Stephen Long HMI, Assistant Regional Director of Ofsted for the South East provided an informative key note speech on Ofsted's new framework for 2019-20 and how to put it to best practice within the trusts.

This was followed by David Cousins Chief Executive Office of the Oxford Diocesan Bucks Schools Trust (ODBST) on what the framework means for the schools and their working curriculum.

The Senior leaders were also treated to a talk from Skills-Force about the Prince William Award, which is designed to help build pupils confidence, character, resilience and leadership.

The afternoon took the shape of “carousel sessions”, which were led by a range of the middle leaders across both the trusts, giving the schools ideas to take back and put into practice themselves.
