Finance Officer (Trust)
Hours: Part time (22 - 26 hours per week, subject to agreement)
Location: Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire
Salary: Full time equivalent of £33,500 - £36,000 pro-rata, dependent on experience
The Oxford Diocesan Bucks Schools Trust is a dynamic and growing Multi Academy Trust of schools across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes; soon to take on our twelfth academy with an exciting programme of growth. We were formed as part of the commitment by the Diocese of Oxford to excellent education for schools and are attractive to both church and non-church schools.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to provide financial support to the Trust and develop systems/administrative procedures to ensure the efficient day to day running of our Multi Academy Trust.
You will be responsible for the provision of an excellent and effective finance support to ODBST including financial reporting, financial processing, monitoring of budgets, provide management information and financial reports. Additionally, you will support the Trust’s finance team in reviewing systems and processes to drive improvements and share best practice.
You will need to be able to:
- Demonstrate a positive outlook with the energy, drive, enthusiasm and determination to succeed
- Show strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently to tackle problems creatively and to think laterally
You must be experienced in operating financial systems; have strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills and have relevant finance experience.
This is a permanent position working full year with 24 days annual leave plus public holidays pro-rata. The successful candidate will have a degree of flexibility in selecting their working hours, Monday to Friday, between a minimum of 22 and maximum of 26 hours per week.
Based in Stoke Mandeville, with some flexibility to work from home, you will need to be able to travel across Buckinghamshire including Milton Keynes on occasion.
