Primary Art CPD - teaching of drawing Session 4
This event will take place between 4:00pm and 5:30pm on 14/07/2021
This series of short, virtual sessions will work across the basics and the building blocks, combining the elements together, making learners more aware of the potential of the marks that they can make and then the combination of complex techniques to provide satisfaction in the outcomes for pupils. This 3 part course is designed for teachers and teaching assistants to facilitate improvements in their delivery of the subject. Its aims are:
Drawing is all about making marks. Developing a learner’s mark making ‘vocabulary’ of skills will help them make progress in drawing skills of all kinds. This addition to the series will look back at the activities we have practiced and see how they fit a sequenced plan for the teaching of drawing.
We will also spend time considering the uses of ‘sketch books’ in the world of teaching ‘artists’; as a source of inspiration, as a record of research, as a platform for trial and error and to reflect back on individual progress and achievements.
PLEASE NOTE THESE SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED FOR ODBST SCHOOLS ONLY.
